Perhaps you prefer Hercules in 12oz bottles? Maybe you’d like to try one of of Yeti Clan series? Maybe you had a DPA in the Tap Room and you can’t find it at your local store, restaurant or bar. Good news, faithful friends. All of these problems can be solved!
We love being able to provide y’all with the bold, flavorful beers you’ve come to expect from us. One way we can continue to do so, is if you ask your local bar, liquor store or restaurant if they could consider carrying your favorite Great Divide draft or package. Everyone wins–you get the tasty Great Divide beer you want, the establishment nods to contented customers and we get to provide you with all the delicious beer you can drink.
Don’t see your favorite GD beer at your local liquor store? Make a request! Don’t see Hoss on tap and you could really go for a rye lager? Never hurts to ask!
Thanks for drinking Great Divide and cheers to many more beers!

As the sweltering sun hung high in the noon sky, he worked tirelessly. With a laundry list of tasks to complete before the day was done, he wiped beading sweat off his forehead and carried on. He was a hired hand for the old farmer and he’d given his word he’d earn his share. Grasshoppers popped in the growing barley and wheat and the quiet rumble of mooing cows filled his ears. As he worked his way through the field, he couldn’t keep his mind off her. Colette, the farmer’s daughter, had left him. She was known to be rather fickle, turning on her charms and then disappearing, as if she had never been there at all–leaving him broken-hearted, pining after the sweet, intoxicating tart.
As he turned the tractor back towards the house, he saw her. Indeed, he almost couldn’t believe it. Rubbing his squinted eyes, he wasn’t mistaken. It was her. Colette. “I’m only here to grab a few things,” she said. But he knew, even one day with Colette in the summer was something to treasure.
Colette is only back on the farm today only. Head on down to the Tap Room and give this sweetheart a try. We’ll be tapping one keg only. Once it’s gone, you’ll have to wait until next year to see this country beauty.

Thanks to Zymurgy Magazine for our recent accolades! They named us the 16th best brewery in their Brewery Rankings (tied with Rogue Ales) and 11th Best Portfolio (tied with Goose Island Beer Co.). Yeti was also named #43 in their Top Ranked Beers list. Cheers to great beer!
You can see Craftbeer.com’s rundown of the article here.
Man, it’s way too hot.
It’s only June, and we’re all
too busy sweating.

Thanks to all who joined us for our 18th Anniversary Party on Saturday. We had a great time and we hope you did, too! 1500 of our closest friends celebrated with us. Special beers, delicious food carts and live music made it a fun day for all.
Here’s a nice write-up of the event, our new beer baby Wolfgang and our plans to expand from our pal Sean Buchan, aka Beertographer.

You can also peep pics from Westword from the party. Big ups to Westword for giving us some love.

Here at Great Divide we see beer and food as a match made in heaven. Our handcrafted ales and lagers are excellent for pairing and using as an ingredient. Here are two great uses of our beer:
First, this tasty summer primer featuring craft beer ice cream from CraftBeer.com. Sweet Action is one of our favorite haunts here in the Mile High City and their Yeti ice cream is so delicious, we wish it was available all year long! You can check out the whole feature here: http://www.craftbeer.com/pages/beer-and-food/features/show?title=i-scream-you-scream-its-craft-beer-ice-cream

Also, don’t forget to check out this Colette ricotta recipe from The Beeroness (who, by the way, is a great resource for craft beer cooking!). This recipe is equal parts simple and delicious. Plus, look at that photography! Our mouths are watering just thinking about it: http://thebeeroness.com/2012/06/05/homemade-beer-ricotta/

Give these tasty, beery options a try and ring in summer the right way.

Our new baby is here! Wolfgang, our new Doppelbock, is finally here. Here’s the low-down from the label:
Originally called “liquid bread,” the Doppelbock style guided monks through periods of penitent fasting. Wolfgang has heavenly notes of caramel, dark fruit, and toffee balanced by a subtle hop character. While its revered history evokes an appreciation of austerity and sacrifice, this Doppelbock is a rich luxury—no repentance required.
It clocks in at 8% ABV and is a smooth, sexy way to start the summer. Fans of this traditional style and newbies alike will appreciate the nuance of this tasty brew.
Give Wolfgang a try and let us know–Facebook it, tweet it, check into it on Untappd, add it to your wishlist on Pintley or send a carrier pigeon our way!
