Celebrate National Yeti Day at the Barrel Bar!
November 18, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
We have declared the week of November 14th National Yeti Awareness Week, culminating in National Yeti Day on Friday, November 18th. We will be celebrating this monumental occasion with a host of Yeti varietals on tap all week and eight Yetis on tap on Friday, including three barrel aged versions of the mythical creature at the Barrel Bar (1812 35th St, Denver 80216). A couple of one-off firkins will also be available (did someone say Apple Pie and Chai Yetis?!) in addition to some Hot Yeti and Cold Yeti, creations courtesy of the Executive Chef at the Brewers Association, Adam Dulye. Not enough? We’ll also have 100 mini cupcakes baked with Yeti as well as some cheese to pair with $4 Yeti pours (Barrel Aged Yetis excluded).
What are Hot Yeti and Cold Yeti you might ask?
Adam worked with Fortuna chocolate, hand roasted up in Boulder, and will take a 66% dark chocolate to turn into drinking chocolate. The next step is emulsifying in Yeti and then running the mixture through nitrogen at 170 degrees Fahrenheit. Why 170 you ask…because alcohol boils at 173.
Want your Yeti extra cold? How about Yeti with a little bourbon vanilla dry ice churned ice cream with a little extra -109.3 F powder to help turn any yeti into the coldest Yeti float out there.
A host of giveaways will be going on all week so don’t miss out on all of the Yeti action!
