The Winter Park Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce, The LIFT FM and KRKY “Colorado Country” are proud to announce the 5th annual Winter Park Beer Festival on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 at Hideaway Park, in downtown Winter Park. This great annual event in Winter Park offers brews, views and great live music. Unlimited beer tasting from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. with 30+ micro brewers on hand sampling their classic hoppy beverages and a few new ones.
This event is a ‘don’t miss’ for beer aficionados, music lovers and festival goers. Besides great beer, Beer Fest attendees will enjoy food from vendors, retail vendors, and live music from 3 acts throughout the day including headliner The Samples, White Water Ramble, and Missed the Boat. The Winter Park Beer Festival is a fundraiser for the Grand Foundation.
What happens when you mix a warm summer afternoon, ice-cold draft beer, and some fun, funky music? You get the South Pearl Street Music Festivals. Inaugurated in 2007, the brainchild of a South Pearl Street merchant, the first Blues & Brews debuted on August 11th on the 1200 block of South Pearl Street.
The street was closed and featured a stage at the northern end of the block and farmers market vendors, craft beer brewers, and some local blues bands rocked into the night. Hoping to attract 1,000 people and not to lose too much money, the event was a huge success with more than 5,000 people on the street and–like any great party–a last minute beer run! The first year’s success encouraged the merchants to add a second event, dubbed BrewGrass.
Entering its seventh year, the music festivals have become a neighborhood tradition and a real shindig. The question remains–is it a music festival with really good beer or a beer festival with really good music?Pea
Ed Fest will feature over 40 national, regional and local breweries pouring samples of their handcrafted beers and ciders. Check out the Beer page for a complete list of participating breweries.
