Welcome to our new series highlighting the bountiful world of beer&cheese pairings. Join us each week as we explore a new turophilic delight paired with our seasonal and year-round brews.

Emmentaler and Claymore Scotch Ale

Claymore Scotch Ale is a malty, deep-ruby beauty featuring lots of caramel sweetness, a reserved hop profile, and a subtle warming character.

Emmentaler, Switzerland’s oldest and most important cheese, has a distinctively nutty-sweet, mellow flavor that makes it perfect for almost any use. It is light gold in color with marble-sized holes and a natural light brown rind. The malty, caramel notes of the Claymore complement the Emmentaler perfectly.
