Widmer’s 6-Year Cheddar paired with Titan IPA

The Widmer family has been crafting cheese for over 80 years with cheesemaking roots tied back to Switzerland.  This cheddar possesses rich, nutty flavors which become increasingly sharp with age.  Widmer’s Cheddar has a nice golden color, a pronounced mature flavor with a slightly drier, crumbly finish.  Also prominent are notes of caramel and salt with a faintly fruity finish.

Titan IPA is a big, aggressively hopped India Pale Ale that starts out with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishes with a nice rich, malty sweetness that is balanced.  With all of the rich citrus flavors and malty sweetness – this pairing makes a very blissful marriage.
