Great Divide Tap Room Giving Program

With the help and support of our neighborhood and community, Great Divide has been a part of the fabric of the growth of Denver since 1994. Without these people and their continued support, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do today. We are lucky to call the great city of Denver home and we hold this city near and dear to our hearts.  In 2011 we launched our Tap Room Giving Program as a way to return the favor to the folks that have supported us from the very beginning. With the help of our thirsty patrons, $370,000 has been raised since the program’s inception in 2011.

Last year alone, $104,124.61 in donations were raised through the Tap Room Giving Program from sample flights in our Tap Room and Barrel Bar and 27 different local non-profits were the recipients of these proceeds.great-divide-beer-rainbow-with-logo

One of the local non-profit recipients in 2015 was Urban Peak, a non-profit that provides a full convergence of services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Josh Zmroczek, the Director of Development and Public Affairs of the organization says, “Great Divide is a tremendous community partner who understands the value of supporting their employees and supporting their local community. The Taproom Giving Program – which benefitted Urban Peak in September – along with the Great Divide employees who came down to the Drop-In Center to serve a Tuesday BBQ clearly illustrated a valuable community partnership!” Ford Church, the Founder and Executive Director of the Cottonwood Institute, another recipient says about the program, “We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Great Divide. The money that we raised from as a Tap Room beneficiary helped support our programs with STRIVE Preparatory Schools in 2015. 95% of these students are high-need/eligible for free and reduced lunch and 90% are students of color. … We could not deliver the programs we do each year without the generous support of community partners like Great Divide.”

Thank you for helping us support organizations like these and our awesome community through your patronage and flight drinking abilities. Stop by the Tap Room or Barrel Bar to have a flight of brews and help us give back to our Denver community. Cheers!
