Summer Beer Releases

Stay cool this season with our lineup of summer beer releases.

Now that the cold, winter months are fully behind us, it is time to start complaining about the heat. Good thing we’ve got some awesome brews out this summer to cool things down. Our 2016 summer beer releases include our 22nd Anniversary Ale, a new hibiscus Tank Farm brew, an Oktoberfest lager, a Yeti you can drink for breakfast, and an updated Candemonium lineup with the new Denver Pale Ale. Summer 2016 is coming in hot (no pun intended).

22nd Anniversary Dark American Sour Aleimg_4359

First up is our 22nd Anniversary Ale. Being released this June to commemorate 22 years of Great Divide, this Dark American Sour is a perfect culmination of 22 years of craft and ingenuity. Aged in red wine barrels, this robust offering is as sophisticated as it is sour. Notes of black cherry jam and tobacco are countered by a welcome tartness and tannic oak finish that lasts long after each sip, making 22nd Anniversary a beer you won’t soon forget.

As part of our Barrel Aged Series, this beer is best enjoyed in one of our Spiegelau Barrel Aged Collaboration Glasses, specifically designed to enhance its signature characteristics and nuances. Snag one from either tap room or order one online through our Hop Shop.

dNadia Kali

Nadia Kali, our newest Bold Character, also hits the shelves this month. Part of our Tank Farm Series, Nadia Kali is an inspired saison with cross-cultural influence. Nadia’s ruby pink glow comes from a generous infusion of hibiscus, while ginger root gives it a subtle spice and hint of woodsy maturity, and lemon peel adds a citrus tartness to keep you on your toes. Full of complexity and intrigue, this unfiltered beauty will show you just how deceiving looks can be. Perfect for drinking in the sunshine, Nadia is ready for any summertime occasion.

Hoss Oktoberfest img_4423

Once a year-round favorite, Hoss returns to our lineup as a summer seasonal and in cans for the first time. Based on the Märzen lagers of Germany, Hoss is the quintessential Oktoberfest brew. Rich, layered malt notes, with hints of cherry and dark fruits, dominate, while the unique addition of rye imparts a slightly earthy, spicy character. Hoss finishes crisp and dry, and its brilliant red-orange color is a toast to the sunsets that make the perfect backdrop for this beer. Snatch up some Hoss before we have to wait another year to bask in it’s glory.

With Oatmeal Yeti hitting the shelves this month, you can pretty much justify having beer for breakfast all summer long. Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a gentle beast.

Candemonium with the new Denver Pale Ale

A new round of Candemonium is out and this crew is ready for summer. Titan, Colette, Denver Pale Ale and a seasonal can (Whitewater or Hoss) make up this summertime crew. If you don’t live in Colorado, snagging one of these bad boys is your only chance at getting your hands on the new Denver Pale Ale!

q2_candemonium_3We’re stoked about all of these awesome beers hitting the shelves this month but let’s not forget about our friends Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti and Whitewater Hoppy Wheat who are still around for a few more weeks. Drink em up before they’re gone and we have to wait until next spring to enjoy their company again.
