Mashing in: Great Divide Brewing Co. Goes Year-Round With Strawberry Rhubard Sour Ale

“Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver, Colorado) has officially announced the release of Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Ale as the brewery’s newest Year-Round offering.

Previously released as a Specialty beer under the name DemeterStrawberry Rhubarb Sour Ale has returned to now take up permanent residence in Great Divide’s Year-Round portfolio.  This American Sour Ale is a “refreshing lip-puckering brew” that plays with the palate by going back and forth between the sweetness of strawberry and the tartness of rhubarb.  Weighing in at just 6.2% ABV, the ruby-hued Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Ale is a “bright and effervescent . . . brew that’s perfect for every occasion.”

“Beer drinkers may be familiar with this beer as it was brewed in 2013 under the name Demeter,” said Brian Dunn, founder of Great Divide Brewing Company. “People have been lining up for it at our Anniversary parties and GABF in past years, so we’ve known that it’s a winner. It took some time to figure out how to brew bigger batches of it given the incredible amount of fruit and extra labor required but we’re excited to finally be able to release this beer into our year-round lineup.”

Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Ale is available now in 22 oz. bottles and on draft.  You can find this new Year-Round brew at craft beer bars, restaurants and retailers located in Alabama, Florida, Colorado and throughout the rest of Great Divide Brewing Company’s distribution area.  Prost!
