Great Divide Releases Collaboration Beer with Electronic DJ GRiZ

Chasing The Golden Hour Ale will be released on Wednesday, August 30th at 12 pm at Great Divide tap rooms.

The Partnership

When local, Denver artist and electronic DJ, GRiZ reached out about doing a collaboration we jumped on the opportunity. Although we’ve done a lot of collaboration brews with fellow breweries and partners, we’ve never done a collaboration with a musical artist on this scale.

As a Denver local, GRiZ really wanted to do a collaboration with a Denver brewery to create a Colorado craft beer. The brewery is just down the street from GRiZ’s house and Colette is one of his favorite beers, so he reached out to us and our collaboration was born. The release of Chasing The Golden Hour Ale coincides with his sold out Red Rocks shows and the launch of new music.

GRiZ was hands on from start to finish. He picked the beer, helped design the Crowler and produced the hilarious video you can watch at the bottom of this post.

The Beer

To get the gears grinding, GRiZ came into the Tap Room and did a tasting. GRiZ really enjoyed the Apricot Colette and decided a different fruited version of that beer would be the perfect fit. A brainchild of both GRiZ and our brewers, Chasing The Golden Hour Ale is a version of Colette with Colorado peaches.

On August 30th the beer will be available exclusively on draft and in Crowlers at both of our tap rooms. The beer will then be available on tap at different music venues throughout the weekend. You can find the beer at the Larimer Lounge, The Gothic and The Ogden Theater. This beer is super limited and will only be available in Crowlers while supplies last!
