Marketing and Event Coordinator

Department: Sales and Marketing
Reports to: VP of Sales and Marketing
Salary Range: 50,000-60,000 annually


Position Summary: 

The Marketing and Event Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Sales and Marketing Team and coordinate all brewery-related, on-site and off-site events, such as festivals, races, etc. This person will also manage sales/marketing inventory and point-of-sale items and beer award entries.


Essential Job Functions:

Event Coordination and Logistics

  • Review event opportunities and respond to inquiries
  • Seek out new opportunities based on marketing goals
  • Ensure events are aligned with marketing plan and outlined budget
  • Manage event registration and licensing requirements
  • Manage event site (on and off-site needs, rentals, security, parking, food vendors, etc.)
  • Staff events with co-workers and/or volunteers
  • Coordinate beer logistics (branded truck or jockey boxes, cold storage/ice, draft or pouring equipment, signage, shipping or delivery logistics)
  • Support sales team event logistics
  • Add all events to Great Divide Brewing website calendar
  • Work with Digital Marketing Coordinator to ensure event participation is promoted on social media
  • Promote events and activations with consumers in real time
  • Oversee upkeep and cleaning of event equipment; communicate necessary repairs and replacements

Beer Award Coordination

  • Review award opportunities and respond to inquiries; manage required paperwork for entries
  • Coordinate beer and category selection with the production team
  • Manage event registration and licensing requirements
  • Coordinate beer delivery/shipping logistics with warehouse team
  • Maintain database of all awards and recognitions

Marketing and PR Support

  • Assist with media requests, helping to answer questions and send beer samples
  • Manage marketing materials and point-of-sale inventory including sell sheets, signage, coasters, tap handles, tap stickers, cups, LEDs, etc
  • Perform monthly inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Ensure sales materials are updated and organized in the internal digital library
  • Assist with marketing campaign initiatives
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the overall marketing strategies and goals
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years marketing and event support experience
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and more than 40 hours/week at times; occasional overnight travel may be required
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Minimum 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
